Judith's Bio

Dr. Judith is a gifted counselor and life coach. She is married and resides in Phoenix, Arizona together with her husband Ron, a pastor and Christian counselor. She has four children of her own and three grandchildren. Originally from New Prague Minnesota, she comes from a large family with a sister and 5 brothers. Judith and Ron form a multi-faceted team that counsels couples in marital stress with wisdom, forthrightness. and biblical principles. Here is a unique team that gets to the issues with grace.

In addition to Judith's academic achievements, much of her expertise is rooted in her own life experience. Herself a victim of abuse at her high school as a teenager, it was seemed almost inevitable her first marriage of 25 years would end in divorce. During that troubled time, she became addicted to alcohol and prescription drugs, anorexic, and in despair, attempted to take her own life. Judith regained control over her life to become a recognized leader within the Christian community. She returned to school earning a BA in psychology, a Masters in Christian Counseling, and in 2005 she earned a Ph.D. in Religious Philosophy in Clinical Christian Counseling at Cornerstone University and then a second Master of Science in Addiction Counseling at Grand Canyon University in 2010. She has shared her experiences and healing with women while founding Judith’s House, a home for women in transition like herself.

Dr. Judith is in private counseling practice, volunteers on the pastoral staff of their local church as well as partnering with the pastoral staffs of several area churches.

Dr. Judith and her husband founded marriagePlus Ministries and have conducted conferences internationally. They also have written a premarital counseling book “Equally Yoked Together” which is available in English and
Spanish languages, “Soul Ties” and "Empowered" available this fall. They have appeared numerous times on both local and national television and radio. Dr. Judith is a charismatic speaker for women's groups of all kinds. She is
